Valencia
This is what music was like before this 80's retro fad and this is what music will be like when this trend passes. Kudos to the boys in Valencia for not throwing on a brightly colored American Apparel hoodie and joining the herd.
Before the scene become oversaturated with dance-pop acts (take no offense, Cobra Starship), before seizure enducing bright colors became the trend and before scene queens were even a figment in someone's mind- we had real music. Yes, believe it or not there was a time where we weren't encouraged "just fucking dance!" at shows, it sounds like that was such a long time ago, doesn't it?
Valencia's sophomore release, We All Need A Reason To Believe, will be released on August 26th on their new and well-deserved label, Columbia. This new album will blow your mind. Prepare to throw your ugly neon hoodies away.
